High technology for the production
of carbide components.
Side by side. This is the essence of our attributes which result in quality, performance, service for the benefit of our customers and the affirmation of our brand in the world since 1955.
FILMS is a fundamental part of the OMCD group, organization specialized in the manufacturing of high quality tungsten carbide products, that makes the co-design and co-engineering one's competitive difference, by interpreting authoritatively the role of the competence leader that the market itself recognizes.
FILMS operates in its own factory in Anzola d'Ossola Italy, in Verbania Province, with over 4,800 square meters and about 90 employees who annually produce more than 80 tons of quality manufactured goods designed for customers all over the world.
Cutting and broaching tools can be used in a virtually infinite number of applications in terms of workable materials and types of machines for which the tungsten carbide grades are essential.
The high efficiency, keeping a perfect cutting profile, and the optimization of the costs are only some of the aspects that make them increasingly popular.
Thanks to its high mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, tungsten carbide is recommended for wear resistance parts in pumping equipment, (rotary and piston), homogenization (fruit juices, tomatoes, dairy products) and in the production of sterile water.
These components are used in the food and dairy industries, but also in the pharmaceutical, chemical and cosmetic industries.back
Components intended for finishing machines such as sandblasting and shot peening, automated painting and water jet equipment.back
Structural components for molds and tools are designed to extrude in shape clay for the brick industry.
The wear and corrosion resistance of carbides are essential features for this application.
DRAWING, BLANKING, MOLDING, DEEP DRAWING
Components for cold forming of metal blades, discs, with or without holes, wires and special shapes, used in
EXTRUSION, DRAWING, BLANKING, ROLLING, DEEP DRAWING, FORMING AND MOULDING.
Blanks for generic tools used in various applications such as wood working, plastics, steel, brass, aluminum, etc.
Hardness, resistance to compression, and tenacity are balanced in order to meet the manufacturing needs of the customers.
Hardmetal items are used for ceramic working, from grinding to cutting clay, and for burring and turning finished products.back
Tooling components with high wear resistance, used for wood working in the building and shoe making industries.back
Wear resistant components for the production and process of metal wire. Rolls, pulleys, and bushes are used on screw and spring machines and for the production of metal meshes and steel-cord wires.back
The most common application of this hardmetal components, typically used in valves controlling the flow of erosive and corrosive liquids is the oil and gas extraction system.back
A wide range of tools made with specific grades of hardmetal characterized by excellent toughness and wear resistance, used with machines for drilling, crushing, splitting, percussion, cutting and scraping of various materials such as stone, marble, granite, concrete, asphalt and soils in general.back
Parts that serve as axial or radial seals inside machines that typically work, either statically or dynamically, to prevent liquid or gas leakages into the external environment.
Hardmetal bearings, thrust bearing rings and seals in general are especially suitable for this application because of their wear and corrosion resistance properties.
